Kala ghoda festival 2012

This years Kala Ghoda festival just couldn't get better. The stall stuff was good though some were overpriced. One complain would be its getting commercialized every year.Like for example there was an inkfruit stall on sale. Can you believe that?
The food was good.It had plenty of variety. The art was magnificent as always. It conveyed various types of messages.Compared to last time there was less jewellery to buy. Here are a few clicks:
These guys were so eager to pose.

This lantern is made up of plastic bottles.

I loved this one the most. Its about human spits dirtying the roads.Hats off the artist who thought and made this.

Life size bournville.

This ones about unprotected sex causing AIDS.

These were some really pretty piece of art.

Tour purchase

I had gone for my IV(industrial visit)(namesake!) because it was more of a trip and less of industries, but again who is complaining a few days ago to Chandigarh,Manali and Delhi. Here is what I bought.

These tribal necklaces I bought from a kashmiri trader in Manali market. Its polished wood.

This bag is bought from Cannught place in New Delhi. Its nice and traditional. It was available in all colors. But I opted for green.

This gorgeous red stole is bought from manali market. Its real paschmina wool. This is the best season to buy all this stuff since because of the on going winter festival you get everything for a cheap bargain.

Miscellaneous "vintage"

So am in the mood of recollecting all those things which are once trending like crazy but have now become extinct.Thats why I call it "vintage".
Remember your frilly birthday frocks when you were young? those ultra puffed short sleeved frocks. The more the puff the happier you got.I couldn't find the most appropriate images but here are a few

Does anybody remember the goodies that came in the lays packets?yaa 'tazos' is what am referring about.Now-a-days the maximum we could get from a packet is "air".

This is my personal favorite. Its those things which change when you change the angle of viewing I dunno what its called.

"Vintage" cartoon

If you were born in the 1990's you would definitely know what I am talking about.
Remember the cartoon network of our childhood days? Now that's what I call cartoons, and not these rubbish subnormal cartoon characters which air these days.
The old version of mickey mouse cartoon which was totally non-verbal yet incredibly entertaining.

We all remember the tales of the Jungle book of course. The funny Baloo and Mowgli duo or the grumpy Bagheera.

I bet everyone still remembers the tunes of 'The Adams family" with the snapping of the fingers or the actions of captain planet song.

Don't we still adore duck tales and recollect uncle Scrooges famous swim in his gold coins.

And last but not the least our very famous robot "Vicki".Yes! 'Small wonder' is exactly what I am talking about.I know this isn't a cartoon but it is a part of our "vintage" tv shows right?

Simple jute bag makeover

I got this jute bag somewhere.Simply loved the press print on it.
.

But then I felt it looks a tad bit simple and it needed something to make it look a bit presentable. So I stitched these violet and pink buttons on it.and tadaaa! look how it turned out to be!

Baggit

Baggit is one brand where every piece it cut to sophistication.I know most of the handbags have this 'corporate' look to them but its well timed with urban chicness. Also Baggit doesn't use leather. Not that am into PETA or anything but I really wouldn't fancy a dead animals skin under my arms. They are no doubt a little expensive but its all worth the money. They run for a good 2-3 years.

My personal Baggit collection. Its not much but I hope to increase it someday.
.

My statement coco blue laptop bag.
Its spacious enough to keep a small notebook laptop. Its great to keep notes straight and not get it crumpled.

My daily use wallet.

It actually looks very compact but actually very spacious and has a compartment for everything.
.

This is my most favorite party clutch. It also comes in bronze.
